If that guy Rob Smith has completed the GTA 4 to review it later, then I'm very sure he played the PS3 version of the game. It is a well-known fact that the PS3 version of GTA 4 is completed now, so as an editor and reviwer from the Official Playstation Magazine and plus with the magazine reviews of GTA 4 coming in about two weeks time, I believe he has certainly played and completed the PS3 version of GTA 4. It is only natural he does since he's gonna review it.

@ sonarus - I agree with you, I dont know why everyone is crying about not having backwards compatibility on the PS3. I honestly see myself playing very few (if any at all) PS2 games on my PS3. For those who have a PS3 with no BC, why not just keep your PS2 and play your PS2 games on there when you need to, it's that simple. I'd most likely only play the past PS2 GTA titles on my PS3, but thats probably about it.

@ tordavis - I think you will find that the type of GTA that everyone loves and admires today is the 3-D open world kind of game that first appeared as GTA III which started life on the PS2 as we all know. So you need to read things more clearly.
When I first saw about GTA on the PS1 I thought the idea was very cool and exciting, but I did'nt like the idea playing the game in simple-looking 2-D graphics. For that reason, I did'nt take too much interest in the PS1 GTA titles.

I cant say for sure whether this GTA 4 review is real or fake. But I must say it does sound very informative and very detailed and my instincts tells me that this guy has actually played both versions of the game. What he states about the PS3 and 360 versions of the GTA 4 seems to in line and quite similar to what other gaming websites have stated. I've heard IGN and a few other websites say the similar things about the comparisons of both versions. I think I will just wait for proper and off...
You missed out BIG time if you have never acually completed the storylines of any of the last-gen PS2-era GTA games . GTA III, Vice City and Sand Andreas had the most immersive, intriguing, cinematic and exciting storylines ever seen in video gaming history. I think Unchartered looked better or just as good as Gears of War. The graphics of Gears of War were certainly excellent and top-class, but it was Unchartered that really blew me away with it's graphics, especially with the waterfall and water effects. However I always knew that MGS4 would really excel in the graphics department. It's also good to hear that it plays and runs excellent too.

I'm a PS3 owner and I will be getting GTA 4 for my PS3 no matter what. But I have to admit if thats the only type of content the PS3 is getting, then it is nothing to get excited about. All that accomplishments, posters, avatars, shoes and hats thing you get with Home seems a trifle bit silly compared to getting extra episodes for the game. But you need to realise and understand that gamers who own both consoles just wanna play it on a PS3 because of the long familiarity and attachment to GTA on the PS2 games and many people don't like playing on a 360 controller especially for GTA games and this plays a factor as to why two-console owners choose the PS3 version of GTA 4. Of course there would be PS3 fans would change opinion if the PS3 got DLC, you dont need to state that, thats clearly obvious. But the truth is most PS3 fans just want the game itself and are they are not too bothered by DLC, take note of "too". With games like GT5, MSG4, KZ 2 and others coming out, they have other things to look forward too. If that was not the case the maybe they'd be very bothered about not having GTA 4 DLC.

I agree with you. Xbox Live, Custom Sountracks, Achievements - I really dont give a sh*t about all that stuff. Well we PS3 owners now have the DualShock control-pads for rumble anyway. As for episodic DLC, well thats only advantage I'd say the 360 version has over the PS3 version of GTA 4, but who is to say that the PS3 won't be getting any exclusive DLC of it's own at some later stage? What if this DLC is not what all it's cracked up to be? I'd like DLC no doubt, but I'm not so excited about...
